Welcome
Have you ever wondered how some things are made? Spaghetti? Oil Painting? Clocks?
We all go through a period of going back to basics and making things from scratch. It might be dying yarn to get the colors you want. It might be getting sheep’s fleece, cleaning it and dying it and spinning it.
My first experience with a spinning wheel was a complete revelation. After a bit of a learning curve the experience was pure pleasure. Experiments with color, texture and just plain spinning leave me with a feeling of satisfaction. Choosing and combining colors is fun. Spinning is relaxing. Knitting, crocheting or weaving with your yarn is creative and satisfying.
The Ashford ™ spinning wheels are made in New Zealand and are completely assembled and can be picked up at the shop. Shipping is not available. The Kiwi, Traveler, Traditional and the Elizabeth II are the most popular spinning wheels sold in America.
There are over 60 wool colors ready for you to inspect and you can combine colors for your own color-way at no additional charge.
So stop by and do a little dreaming. Feel the wool and take a spin on the wheels and have some fun.
